Virtual Registration

What is a virtual conference?

Woman Watching the Conference videos at night

A virtual conference is hosted entirely online for attendees to participate from anywhere in the world. IG Apex Summit will be delivered on a digital platform, Bizzabo. You can expect the same top-level content that you would find at the in-person event.

When can I register for a virtual ticket?

Virtual registration is now open but please check back this summer for program details.

What if I am not available during the conference dates?

The best part of a virtual conference is that sessions can be offered on demand. Most sessions will be available for a limited time shortly after the conference ends.

Length of availability on-demand will vary per session so be sure to check early to avoid missing a certain session.

How long is On-Demand viewing available for?

On-demand viewing availability will vary from session to session, but most are available for 30 days post-conference. Please be sure to watch early to avoid disappointment.

How do I log in to participate?

You will receive an email with login instructions closer to the conference date.

Can I participate in the virtual event with my colleagues?

Yes! If you plan to convene with colleagues/peers for the virtual IG Apex Summit, please follow social distancing and Provincial Health Orders. Each attendee will still require their own unique login to actively participate. Please be aware of and plan for potential bandwidth limitations for larger groups.

General Session, Ed Tracks, and CE Credits

Will the sessions be live?

Yes, sessions in Ottawa will be live. Most sessions for the virtual audience will also be live-streamed from the conference.

Most virtual sessions will be live streamed from the conference venue. Exclusive virtual sessions will be delivered live or pre-recorded.

Can I get continuing education credits?

IG Apex Summit will offer up to 5 CE credits – more information will be available over the summer. Please check back for updates.

Will there be French sessions?

There will be dedicated French sessions available along with some sessions offered with Simultaneous Interpretation (SI). We offer SI onsite with live interpretation with personal headphones.

Virtually, live interpretation is offered through ‘Interprefy’, a widget that is embedded into the Bizzabo event platform. Attendees can simply connect to the French interpretation through the widget. Please be sure to mute the video console, otherwise you will hear both English and French.

Will I have a chance to ask questions?

Information for live Q&A will be updated later this year. Please check back for details.

How do I know which sessions are offered virtually?

All session and speaker information will be updated under the “Speakers & Sessions” tab on the top navigation bar. Each speaker and session will have a banner indicating whether the session and activity is available in-person, virtually or in a hybrid (offered live and virtually at the same time) form.
